In the last light of day, the Great Walton's turn nears home base in Social Circle with two GP9's up front, and a SW8, a GP10 and a GP9 at the back of the train. This is a rare site as trains generally have to shove back from Monroe due to there not being a run around track in Social Circle. The train would stop just south of here, and this would be our last shot of a great, if bittersweet day of railfanning the Great Walton |
